Meet

Jade Hoever, WHNP-BC

There’s a reason so many patients request Willow OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Jade Hoever by name. She’s an open book when it comes to her own health issues. This gives her the relatable touch necessary to reassure anyone under her care that they’re not alone, and that everything will be okay.

Jade was born in California and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for most of her childhood. After living in Italy for four years on account of her father’s military service, she relocated to Boerne outside of San Antonio, Texas. She’s remained there since age 13.

By the time she finished her nursing courses at UTHealth Science Center at San Antonio, Jade had already started working at nearby Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital. She assisted as a registered nurse on the facility’s surgical floor for 10 years — but her goal was always to work in women’s health.

Were she any less dedicated, Jade might not have seen it through. She got accepted to UC Nurse Practitioner School a month after getting pregnant with her second child, forcing her to balance her coursework with all that childbirth entails. Rather than deterring her, these challenges deepened her connection to her field. Her firsthand experience is what helps her connect with each patient so naturally.

Jade gained her first experience as a nurse practitioner working for Hays County Health Department in nearby San Marcos. In less than a year, she received a job offer to work at Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels. She met Willow OB/GYN Founder Kelly Morales, MD during this time, although her future boss had yet to start the venture.

Starting in 2015, Jade took some time off to raise her children and help her husband with the family plumbing business. Dr. Morales asked her to join Willow as a nurse practitioner in early 2022. She happily agreed to come onboard.

Jade finds her work most gratifying when she gets to see new parents hold a child in their hands that she first showed them via ultrasound. The connection they share in these full-circle moments makes any challenge along the way worthwhile. She also enjoys taking care of patients for their gynecological needs before conceiving, and afterward for their well-woman exams.

It’s your journey to health. We’re here to support you.
